Apply by December 31, 2026, and you’ll become one of our Founding Guests. Your first mixer (a $25 value) is included with your application fee, and you can use it anytime during your 12-month approval period. Founding Guests will also be the first invited to new events, like speed dating, and to membership when it launches.

Your ticket includes:

• A seat at a curated table of about six, grouped with real judgment

• A personal welcome from your host at the bar, 30 minutes before seating, along with light introductions to your fellow guests (Exact times are included in your event confirmation)

• Your name card and an icebreaker question to bring to the table when you're seated

• A short, private follow-up survey emailed to you after the mixer. If you and someone at your table both say you'd like to see each other again, we'll share your contact information with each other, using only the details you each agreed to share.

*Food and drinks aren't included. You'll order what you like and pay the venue directly.

**Tickets are non-transferable and admit one guest only. Plus-ones aren't permitted. Friends who'd like to attend must apply separately.

Everyone orders and pays for their own food and drinks on a separate check. If you order something at the bar before you're seated, please settle it first. Some venues add an automatic gratuity for groups, so please look over your bill before tipping.

After you apply, please allow up to 7 days for us to check public records, including California’s Megan’s Law registry and court records. Once that’s complete, we’ll email you an invitation to book a short video screening call. On the call, we’ll get to know you and confirm your identity. You’ll show your photo ID on camera. We never copy, screenshot, or store it.

Please book your call within 30 days of receiving our invitation, or your application will be closed. You’ll receive our decision within 2 business days after your call. If you’re approved, you’ll get a welcome email with your seat at the next mixer, and your approval is good for 12 months. After that, you can reapply to keep attending.

Our mixers are designed for GenX singles, generally those born between 1965 and 1980, living in California’s Central Valley (within about 50 miles of Lodi). We seat guests based on the age range each person is looking for.

“Single” means exactly that—not currently in a relationship, and not involved with someone who believes otherwise. Beyond that, you should be genuinely ready to meet people in person, no matter where you are in your dating journey.

Our mixers are for singles who are open to dating. Friendships often happen along the way, but everyone at the table is there hoping to meet someone special, so we ask that you come with that same intention.

Every table is put together by a real person, not a formula. We look at age range, relationship goals, and political alignment, and we honor the relationship statuses you told us you’re open to meeting, so you’re seated with people you’ll have a real chance of connecting with.

We also aim for a balanced mix at every table. If one group fills first, you’ll go on our priority list and be offered a seat at the next mixer. If your first mixer was included with your application, it still is.

Our mixers are held at local Central Valley restaurants chosen for good food and easy conversation. We look for restaurants with a bar or lounge area for the welcome, on-site parking, and staff who are happy to handle separate checks for our tables. Our goal is a meal that’s easy and comfortable from the moment you pull in.

From time to time, we may also offer premium experiences at an additional cost.

The date, city, and typical meal price range of each mixer are listed on our website and included with your ticket, along with a general description of the restaurant. On the morning of the mixer, we'll email you the venue name and address, along with a short introduction to your tablemates: first names and a fun fact or two, shared only with each guest's permission. To protect everyone's privacy, we never share last names, photos, or contact information ahead of time. You'll meet in person first.

There’s no need to swap numbers at the table unless you want to. After the mixer, we’ll email you a short private survey that asks, among other things, whether there’s anyone you’d like to see again and what contact information you’re comfortable sharing.

Your answers stay private. If the interest is mutual, we’ll pass along only the contact information each of you agreed to share. If it’s not mutual, no one ever knows.

Your application: You can cancel for a full refund until midnight of the third business day after you apply (not counting Sundays and holidays). After that, the $50 application fee is non-refundable.

Mixer tickets:

• At least 48 hours before the event: refund of your $25 ticket, less a $2 processing fee

• At least 24 hours before the event: a credit toward a future mixer (credits expire at the end of your 12-month approval period)

• Within 24 hours of the event: no refund or credit, but a quick heads-up still helps us offer your seat to someone on the waitlist

To cancel, email cancel@thegenxtable.com with your name and the event date.

Sometimes we need to reschedule a mixer, for example if there aren’t enough guests to seat a balanced table. If that happens, your seat automatically moves to the next mixer. If you’d rather have a full refund, just reply within 3 days of our notice. If your seat was included with your application fee, it carries over to the next mixer.
