Code of Conduct
Our mixers work because everyone at the table shows up with the same good intentions. By attending, you agree to:
Be honest. Represent yourself truthfully, on your application and in person. We ask guests to be upfront with the people they connect with about anything significant to a relationship.
Be respectful. Treat every guest, host, and venue staff member with courtesy. Everyone deserves to feel welcome at the table.
Respect boundaries. Take "no thanks" gracefully, the first time. Keep physical contact welcome and appropriate, and never pressure anyone to exchange contact information or leave together.
Protect each other's privacy. Don't share other guests' names, photos, or personal details, online or off, without their permission. That includes the tablemate introductions we send before each mixer: they're for that evening only, so please don't look up or contact other guests outside an introduction we make. Ask before taking photos that include others.
Enjoy responsibly. Have a drink if you'd like, but know your limits. Please arrange a safe ride home.
Keep it personal, not promotional. Please don't use mixers to sell, recruit, or promote a business.
Show up, or let us know. Your seat was saved for you. If you can't make it, email cancel@thegenxtable.com as soon as you know, even at the last minute.
Speak up. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, let your host know, during the event or afterward at hello@thegenxtable.com. You can also tell us in the private post-event survey. We take every concern seriously and handle it discreetly and fairly.
We may remove anyone who violates this code or whose behavior we believe puts others' safety or comfort at risk, without a refund, and they won't be invited back.
